Slow Read Movement

I think this article regarding supposed decreasing attention spans and the detrimental impact thereof on reading, especially hard-copy, is definitely worthwhile and maybe even provocative, and also encouraged me research the theme some more.  But the whole “the internet is making us stupider” tirade, although agreeable in nuance, is tiresome and makes the writers/proponents of such “movements” seem exclusive in a way that almost hardly exists for their audience, dividing themselves as “people who read” from those who just don’t.

To be sure, you should still give it a read (that is, if you can).
